Inspection and Partial Handover of New Office Block Facility

On 21st April 2026, Machakos University marked a significant milestone in its infrastructural development journey with the inspection and partial handover of the newly constructed Office Block. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Joyce J. Agalo, together with the University Management Board, presided over the exercise, underscoring the institution’s commitment to excellence in governance and service delivery.

The inspection was led by consultants under the Project Manager’s Representative, Architect Maurice Mucheru from the State Department for Public Works. The main contractor and subcontractors were present, with a guided tour conducted by the Clerk of Works, Dr. Clement Mbatha. This collaborative effort highlighted the University’s dedication to quality assurance and adherence to professional standards.

The project has achieved Partial Completion and is now ready for use under a six-month defect liability period. This milestone ensures that the Administration Block can begin serving its intended purpose while final refinements are addressed.
