Principal Secretary Assesses Progress of Landmark Infrastructure at Machakos University

Machakos University continues to make significant strides in strengthening its physical and academic infrastructure, reinforcing its commitment to delivering quality higher education in Kenya and beyond. This was evident during a high-level visit by Dr. Beatrice Inyangala, Principal Secretary in the State Department for Higher Education under the Ministry of Education, who toured the University on 24th April 2026 to assess progress on the new Administration and Tuition Block.

The Principal Secretary was received by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Joyce Agalo, alongside members of the University Management Board. During the visit, Dr. Inyangala commended the University for the impressive progress made on the project, particularly noting the completion and handover of Phase I (Administration Block). She applauded the leadership of the Vice-Chancellor in steering the project towards timely realization, highlighting it as a testament to effective governance and strategic vision.

The Principal Secretary further expressed satisfaction with the ongoing works under Phase II (Tuition Block). Upon completion, the facility is expected to significantly enhance teaching, learning, and administrative efficiency within the University.
