Chancellor’s Courtesy Call by Council Members

On 6^th May 2026, Council Members of Machakos University, led by the newly appointed Chairman of Council, Dr. Peter Maangi Mitiambo, paid a courtesy call to the Chancellor, Dr. James Mworia, at his office.

During the meeting, Dr. Mitiambo highlighted the University’s major milestones, including the completion of key projects realized during the tenure of the Chancellor, alongside notable progress in institutional development and resource mobilization. He emphasized the Council’s commitment to driving infrastructural development, sustainability, and student‑centered initiatives that align with the University’s strategic vision.

The Chancellor warmly welcomed the new Chairman together with newly appointed Council Members, Mr. George Marete and Mr. Davis Thuo, commending the Council for its leadership and oversight. He underscored the University’s strategic focus on producing graduates with demand‑driven skills to enhance employability both locally and internationally. He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting Machakos University in strengthening partnerships, expanding opportunities for students, and advancing its national and global impact. The Vice‑Chancellor, Prof. Joyce J. Agalo, reaffirmed the institution’s dedication to excellence in teaching, research, innovation, and community engagement.
