Council Commissions a14-Seater Van

Machakos University officially received a new 14-seater van on 14^th April 2026, marking a significant addition to its transport fleet and a step forward in enhancing support for student activities. The commissioning was presided over by the Chairman of Council, Dr. Peter Maangi Mitiambo, and attended by Council Members, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Joyce J. Agalo, who led members of University Management, alongside staff and other stakeholders.

In his remarks, Dr. Mitiambo emphasized that the van is not merely a logistical asset but a demonstration of the Council’s dedication to putting students’ needs first. He noted that the University’s vision of putting students matters at hand is realized through practical measures such as this, which directly supports student welfare and participation in diverse activities.

The Vice-Chancellor reiterated these sentiments, highlighting that the van will enhance flexibility in planning and executing student programs, while also strengthening the University’s ability to respond promptly to emerging needs.
