Machakos University Conducts Official Site Handover for Perimeter Wall Phase III Construction

Machakos University on 11th March 2026, hosted representatives from Fossils Agencies Limited for the official site handover of the Perimeter Wall Phase III project. This exercise marked a significant milestone in the University’s ongoing commitment to strengthening its security infrastructure and enhancing a safe and conducive learning environment for students, staff, and visitors.
The site handover exercise was led by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Joyce J. Agalo, who was accompanied by University officials and members of the contractor’s technical team to formally commence the next phase of the perimeter wall construction.

The project is expected to extend and reinforce the existing boundary infrastructure, contributing to improved safety and controlled access around the University premises. The initiative forms part of the University’s broader strategy to enhance campus security while supporting the institution’s expanding physical infrastructure.
The perimeter wall expansion aligns with Machakos University’s development agenda aimed at improving facilities and promoting effective service delivery.

Fossils Agencies Limited, the contractor undertaking the project, confirmed its readiness to begin the works following the handover. The contractor’s team assured the University that the construction will be carried out in accordance with the required standards and within the stipulated timelines.
Once completed, the wall is expected to further strengthen campus security and support Machakos University’s mission of providing a safe, well-managed, and conducive environment for teaching, learning, research and innovation.
