Machakos University is set to embark on a transformative infrastructure project that will upgrade internal roads and gates, reinforcing accessibility, security, and the overall campus environment. The initiative follows a high-level planning meeting led by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Joyce Agalo, together with the University leadership, in collaboration with the State Department for Public Works and key project stakeholders.

The project is scheduled to commence on 27th April 2026 after contractor mobilization, with works including Cabro paving of internal roads and comprehensive gate construction and renovations. Roadworks are expected to take 8 weeks, while gate construction and renovations will run for 15 weeks.
The Vice-Chancellor emphasized quality delivery, minimal disruption to university operations, and the integration of engineering students for hands-on learning opportunities. The project will be supervised by Engineer Onesmus Kituku of Sebam Consultants Ltd and executed by Masco Construction Ltd.
This transformative project underscores Machakos University’s commitment to infrastructural excellence and student-centered development, ensuring enhanced accessibility, strengthened security, and alignment with the University’s mission of fostering quality education, innovation, and community engagement.
